Gustavo Hernández García

“The generous program… displays Mariachi Garibaldi’s powerful voices, in particular the
rich operatic tenor of Gustavo Hernandez.”
- Janice Steinberg, San Diego Story

Gustavo Hernández García crosses genres in his "From Mariachi to the Met" program, featuring songs from a vast catalogue of musical theater, mariachi, and classical tenor repertoire.  Audiences will delight to his stirring renditions of "Nessun Dorma,” segments of "West Side Story," and popular jazz and mariachi standards.

Gustavo has sung in Mexico, Spain, Germany, Italy, and all over the US. Gustavo has worked with world renowned artists such as Andrea Morricone, (Cinema Paradiso) singing in JF Lawton’s film “Jackson” (Pretty Woman, Under Siege) and singing in prestigious concerts venues such as his debut at Walt Disney Hall as the tenor soloist in Beethoven’s 9th Symphony. Gustavo has also been called on to serenade luminaries such as former president Bill Clinton, EGOT winner Rita Moreno and multi grammy award winning singer Christina Aguilera.

Gustavo tours nationwide as a featured member of Mariachi Garibaldi de Jaime Cuéllar.
